Salary: Hourly rate £11 - £13 per hour dependent on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper who can support our Finance Manager. The role will primarily focus on day-to-day processing of the purchase ledger using QuickBooks online, along with supporting the Finance Manager with preparation of VAT returns, annual accounts, and monthly budgeting. This is a long-term freelance role for approx. one day per week throughout the year and there is potential for additional hours during our event seasons.  

Roles and responsibilities

Bookkeeping

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping:

o   Digital invoice processing

o   Expense and credit card reconciliation

o   Cost allocation and budget management

  • Bank and control account reconciliation

  • Assistance with preparation of quarterly VAT returns

  • Assistance with preparation of annual accounts

Requirements

Mandatory

  • Experience as a Bookkeeper, Purchase Ledger Clerk or similar

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent written and spoken English

Desirable

  • AAT qualified or equivalent

  • Experience of using QuickBooks online

  • A natural affinity for, and interest in off-road running.
