We’re a small (9) person team organising the UK’s finest and most challenging off-road running events including the Montane Dragon’s Back Race®, Cape Wrath Ultra®, Northern Traverse™, Salomon Skyline Scotland®, and the SILVA Great Lakeland 3Day™. We work year-round, primarily from a rural office near Kendal, and our passion is the outdoors, running and adventure.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Ourea Events are looking for a hardworking, organised, and passionate event operations manager to join the team based at our office on the outskirts of Kendal, Cumbria. The position will play a key role in planning and delivering the operations on a variety of live events alongside the Operations Director. The successful candidate will be entitled to the company pension scheme, TOIL payments for any days worked on events, and the company bonus scheme.
Ourea Events is a fast paced, fun and busy environment offering a variety of job tasks and challenges working with like-minded individuals. The job role will involve time split between manual handling in the warehouse, desk work, and onsite at the event(s) and is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team delivering world-class, challenging running adventures in beautiful mountain locations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Management of the event static sites which include greenfield sites and permanent venues
Producing health and safety documentation including Event Safety Management Plans, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Procurement of services for the events and management of preferred supplier relationships
Budget management across the operational expenditure
Drafting event site plans to be shared with key stakeholders and event venues
Management of exhibitors and sponsors in relation to operational requirements
Creation of key event documentation such as event schedules, inductions, exhibitor manuals, ID passes
Management of team leaders ensuring completion of daily onsite tasks
Advocating the company sustainability policy, including research and implementation of sustainable solutions

Essential Skills/qualifications
UK driving license (with no more than 3 points)
Experience and knowledge in events and operations
Experience of building effective relationships with suppliers
Attention to detail, excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
Highly resilient and able to work calmly when under pressure to meet immovable deadlines in challenging circumstances and to go the extra mile
Desirable Skills/qualifications
AutoCAD
IOSH Certification or Event Management Diploma
Food Hygiene level 2
First Aid Training
