Ourea Events Administration Confirmed

**Appointment of Administrators to Ourea Events Limited and Skyline Trail Races Limited **

Philip Stephenson, Jon Roden and Nick Wilson of Grant Thornton UK Advisory & Tax LLP were appointed as joint administrators of Ourea Events Limited and Skyline Trail Races Limited (“the Companies”) on 17 March 2026.

The Companies are the organisers of several well-known UK ultra-distance trail events, including the Northern Traverse, Cape Wrath Ultra, the Dragon’s Back Race and Skyline Scotland.

Following their appointment, the administrators have taken control of the business and assets of the Companies.

Due to the financial position of the Companies, the Northern Traverse, Lakes Traverse, Dales Traverse and Moors Traverse scheduled between 28 March and 1 April 2026 will not go ahead as planned.

The administrators are also assessing the implications for other 2026 events operated by the Companies, including the Cape Wrath Ultra, Dragon’s Back Race and Skyline Scotland and will provide further updates as soon as possible.

The administrators are actively exploring options for the future of the events, including engaging with potential new operators. Further information will be shared once these discussions progress.

Participants who have paid entry fees in advance will be contacted in due course with information about next steps and the process for registering creditor claims.

The affairs, business and property of Ourea Events Limited and Skyline Trail Races Limited (“the Companies”) are being managed by Philip Stephenson, Jon Roden and Nick Wilson who were appointed as Joint Administrators on 17 March 2026. The Joint Administrators act as agents of the Companies and without personal liability. Philip Stephenson, Jon Roden and Nick Wilson are authorised by the Insolvency Practitioners Association to act as insolvency practitioners.
