Job opportunity - Operations Support
We are looking for a freelance Operations Support team member to assist the business at our peak event delivery periods in May and September 2021.
The position will mainly be based at our office near Kendal - with some days onsite at events to assist with the delivery of the Dragon’s Back Race® and Salomon Skyline Scotland® in the September.
Specific dates will be discussed at interview.
About Ourea Events
We’re a small (9-person) team organising the UK’s finest off-road running events including the Dragon’s Back Race®, Cape Wrath Ultra®, Salomon Skyline Scotland®, and the SILVA Great Lakeland 3Day™. We work year-round, primarily from a rural office near Kendal, and our passion is the outdoors.

5th-19th May and 1st-4th June, 2021 (15 days)
31st August-24th September, 2021 (25 days)
Candidates need to available for both sets of dates
Location: Office near Kendal, plus onsite at the Dragon’s Back Race® and Salomon Skyline Scotland®
Level/Salary range: £125 per day (freelance contract basis)
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES – OFFICE
Warehouse management
Managing deliveries
Vehicle loading / manual handling
Runner (picking up / delivering event essentials)
Cleaning and drying kit
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES – EVENTS*
Team Leader, managing event volunteers
Overseeing overnight camp builds / breakdowns
Vehicle loading / manual handling
Erecting signage / branding
Driving event vehicles
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
Full clean UK driving license
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Forklift driving license
*Onsite responsibilities will be defined dependent on experience
