SILVA Northern Traverse & SILVA Lakes Traverse

300km & 100km self-supported Ultra RaceS

Beginning at St Bees on the west coast, the route crosses the north of England through three National Parks finishing in Robin Hood’s Bay on the east coast. Taking in iconic mountains, valleys, moors and ~6,500m of ascent, the SILVA Northern Traverse is one of the most spectacular ultra races in the world.

The SILVA Lakes Traverse starts with the SILVA Northern Traverse in St. Bees and crosses the entire Lake District, finishing in Shap. You'll have 28 hrs to complete the race, from the western coast through Ennerdale, Borrowdale, over Grasmere Common and Fairfield, through Patterdale, over Kidsty Pike and along Haweswater and into Shap. With a total of ~3500m of ascent over 100km, this is a challenging yet beautiful ultra.
